I did it! I bought a minivan!

Right now it's in the shop getting the AC fixed (not going to go without that in Texas). We're also getting it detailed so when I get it back it will be all shiny and new and wonderful!

So, it's not all that new. It's a 2000. It's actually older than our other car. However, the price was right, it had leather seats (a must in my opinion when you have kids) and it will hold all of our camping stuff without the kids having to hug a cooler for the whole drive to our destination.

Interesting. I was just about to call you and ask your opinion on make/models of minivans. We started looking at some the other day...but then I realized that i could get an 8 passenger suv for about the same price (Honda Pilot)...so I'm leaning in that direction. That's a whole nother conversation though...we'll chat in Rexburg!!!

edit: 7 passenger, 1 driver = 8.

I love our van. . . for the very camping reason. . . tons of room for camping and road trips. I even figured out how to jimmy rig it that our seven passanger van can fit three in the middle seat, so either it is an eight passanger van, or three kids and all our travelling gear. . . (i need room for three kids, because I baby sit a six month old little girl) So I suppose sometimes car seats are not all that horrible! :) Have you arealdy been to utah and back? we would love to see you if we are in town when you are.I hope we didn't miss you, but we probably did.
